Finally, a wash made specifically for the technical fabrics that our horses wear in the most inclement of weather. Nikwax Rug Wash in a large 1 Liter container is the washing solution you’ve been looking for to tidy up the end result of the things that we require out of a rug/blanket. This wash can be used to break through caked on mud, stains, general dirt, and remove odors while still keeping waterproofers intact. 

Wonderfully multipurpose, this wash can be used on other horse wear items as well, with the unique property of being able to restore both waterproofing and moisture wicking abilities. Blankets, blanket liners, saddle pads, quarter sheets, and pretty much any fabric that goes on your horse will benefit from treatment. Dirt attracts water, which can decrease the effectiveness of water-proof materials. Conventional detergents contain hydrophillic agents that draw moisture toward the fabric. Nikwax Rug Wash replaces the moisture drawing agents with moisture repellers to restore water-proof materials.

Additional Information

Contains no propellant gases; non-persistent; environmentally safe. Not tested on animals. Contains no fluorocarbons.

Directions for Use:  Add 5 fl oz for top load and 3.5 fl oz for front load per blanket (best if only one blanket is washed per load) and set machine to medium water level. Wash on warm setting. Hang dry. No need to dry before waterproofing. For extremely set-in difficult stains, pre-treat with full strength Rug Wash and scrub with a brush.
